About Danfoss Randall
In the early 1990s Randall introduced a new thermostat concept to the market which allowed different temperatures to be selected at different times of the day.
The programmable thermostat was born.
Danfoss Randall are firmly established as one of the leading suppliers of domestic and commercial heating controls. Their wide product range, covering the majority of system requirements, makes Danfoss Randall the obvious partner when it comes to specifying domestic or commercial heating controls.
Established in 1992 following the acquisition of the long established Randall Electronics and the subsequent merger with the Heating Division of Danfoss Ltd, Danfoss Randall brings to the market unsurpassed experience in the areas of traditional electromechanical controls, advanced electronic controls, radiator thermostats and other self-acting controls. In fact, the company can justifiably claim to have been responsible for the invention and commercialisation of both electro-mechanical time controls and radiator thermostats; so the pedigree is sound.
Randall Electronics played an important role in the development of time controls for Domestic central heating in the early part of the 1960s. The original products were all electro-mechanical based and for many years dominated the time control market in the UK. In the mid 1970s the first of the electronic time controls were introduced and have over the last few years become the dominant form of time controls used in the UK.
